The content for this webquest is geared toward students in grades 6-8.  The content is the basis for the book "Strawberry Girl" by Lois Lenski.  There is background information on the history of Florida during the late 1800's and early 1900's, the history of the Cracker culture, and the vocabulary used by Crackers.  Understanding Cracker vocabulary will be helpful in dialogue comprehension.
