First, students will research different groups of animals on the Web. Next, the students will analyze their research while they create a create a persuasive essay about the similarities or differences they found between humans and animals. Finally, the students will present their research while they read their essay to the rest of the class.


    You will be reading Meg Rosoff's novel,  How I Live Now  for the next few weeks.  As you are reading, we are going to use the Web to gain a deeper understanding of the novel.  Make sure to take note of how the characters behave during this time of war as you read.  This Web introduction will help you connect the behavior of different groups of animals, with the behavior of humans during times of war.
