    This WebQuest was designed as part of a social studies unit on American ideals.  In the course of this study, students examine the Declaration of Independence and people who fought for an American ideal.  The content of this lesson works well for a fifth grade class, since students are expected to satisfy CA Social Studies Content Standard 5.6.
