This web quest will help students identify the basic operations of whole numbers.

Introduction

During this activity you'll be working individually to learn more about the basic operations and the basic facts.

The four basic operations are addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. These are the basis of every mathematical problem you will come across. It is important to learn the basic facts of these operations.

Basic facts are the answers to mathematical questions ranging from 0-9 within each operation.

For example:

1+0=1    1+1=2    1+2=3    1+3=4    1+4=5 are the first five basic "ones" facts for addition.

Let's look at some activities which will help you learn and master the basic facts.
