Process

1. First, get a general background in the mythology of your region by looking over the following websites (pick only the websites for your region). Remember that you specifially want to find information regarding creation myths, flood stories, hero quests, gods and godesses, and the origin of things in nature.

2. Next, find 3 other reliable websites to use in your research. Check this link to remember how to verify a website.

3. Find at least one article from the online Encyclopedia database, Grolier. Please see Mrs. Bosler or I to get the log in information.

4. Remember that web pages cannot replace the wealth of knowledge that is inside library books. Do not forget to use those sources.

5.. Decide how you will tailor the lesson for this learner group. How will you deal with the limitations of their vocabulary and previous experience? Here are some ideas for you to consider:

6. Write out your proposed lesson. Be sure to include a way to introduce it, a part in which new information is provided, a time in which students practice what they've learned and get feedback, and an opportunity to tie it all together. Be sure to include lots of interaction between you and the learners and perhaps between learners. Don't talk at the learners for more than 10 minutes in a row, or even less for young learners.
7. Practice your lesson with other members of your class before giving it to your target class.

8. On the day of the lesson, you must turn in five test questions. These question need to be about things that you expect your students to learn about during your lesson. Your questions should be level 2 and level 3 questions.
