In this Webquest you will learn the history, make up, current usage of, and future possibilities for robots. You will work individually and in groups to complete this activity. Not only will you work in the computer lab to do research but you will also use the work shop to build your own robotic arms. You will use the problem solving model to design, build, and put your robot arms to the tests set forth by the instructor.
Teacher Introduction
This webquest incorporates a lot more than your usual lesson. Not only do we use computers and the wood shop as a resource in accomplishing this lesson, we also will apply skills that we have used in other lessons. Computer usage and safe shop practices will be essential to the successful completion of this project. Students will also be challenged to apply the problem solving method to come up with solutions to meet the challenges that will be assigned to them. Regardless of your students abilities, I feel this webquest will take time to complete and will definately challenge your students to focus and stay on task.
