In this webquest, students in Level II Spanish will work with two other classmates to create a scrapbook with narrations about a recent vacation that they have taken through a Spanish-speaking country in South America. The scrapbook may be presented in either paper or PowerPoint format, utilizing travel vocabulary, culturally accurate locations and information, and past-tense narration with both preterite and imperfect tenses in Spanish. They will work to create the most attractive and impressive travel account that will be chosen as the travel plan for next year's Spring Break trip offered by the school!

Introduction

Welcome back from Vacation!

I hope that you have enjoyed your trip!  Did you ever imagine that one country in South America would have so much to offer? I can’t wait to hear all about it!  I’m ready for the details! Where did you stay? What places did you visit? What did you see? Who did you meet? What did you learn? Your experiences and knowledge not only interest me, but can also be very beneficial to others as well!  The Spanish department at our school is trying to decide on a location for a student trip during Spring Break next year.  All of the Spanish teachers and other Spanish students will be voting next month on a country for the vacation that will be offered next year.  In two weeks, you and your travel companions will be able to present the details about the vacation that you have just taken as a possible vacation for others to enjoy next year.  What will you want to show them? What details should you share? What will make your travel experiences stand out to everyone as the absolute best possible vacation? Oh, and I almost forgot! If your trip is chosen, the Spanish teachers want to take you and your partners on the trip for free next year to be the travel guides for everyone else!  Let’s get started!
