Process
Throughout this entire project, you will work in the groups that I have assigned to you. It is imperative that you work cooperatively and respectfully, as your success will depend upon the effort of all group members. Each of you will earn the same final grade for the final product that you present from your group. See me immediately with questions or problems!
Primer paso: Escojan un país.
First, you must be able to answer the first question that will be on everyone's mind:

Using one of the websites provided below, complete the following steps:
1. (Individual) Explore the websites for about 5-10 minutes in order to familiarize yourself with the countries, their locations, basic facts, and climates. Take any important/interesting notes on your own sheet of paper. Make a list of your top three country choices to present to your group members. Be prepared to tell them why you want to focus on that country, and what some interesting locations to explore might be.
2. (Group) Compare your notes with your other group members. Compare your top three choices, and provide your examples to help come to a decision about what country you will present in your final presentation. Choose a country.
3. (Individual) Once you have chosen a country, you can now focus on specific regions and locations that you would like to visit. Using the more country-specific sites provided, explore at least 4 different locations that look interesting to you. Again, take notes about the locations and what they have to offer the traveler. Keep in mind that you want to have a variety of locations, not only resorts on the beach. You want to provide evidence of the many values of your trip. Make a list of your top 3-4 locations.
4. (Group) When your teacher indicates that your time is up for step three, join your group members to again compare notes. As a group, make a list of six places that you will present in your final presentation. Print the page provided here, one copy per group. Fill out all information on this page, and turn into your teacher before going on to Paso 2.

Segundo Paso: Escriban el itinerario del viaje con detalles.
Now, you must be able to answer the following questions:

In order to complete the second step, you must complete the following:
- Once you have received approval from the teacher on your country and list of locations, choose a role to take on for the first part of this step. You may select from travel coordinator, accommodations manager, or activity planner.
- Select a role from above, and print out your planning page.
- Complete the steps provided on your own planning report using the websites listed below.
- See your teacher for approval on your individual task to be sure you have completed this part of the task.
When all members of your group have received approval, you may move on:
- All members of your group must share what you have learned and/or planned to keep all of these details consistent in your final presentation. Share your notes and discuss what you have decided to share in your presentation.
- Keeping these details in mind, do your final research on the locations that you have previously chosen to focus on in your presentation. Print the notes and instructions page here. You will each write about two of the locations, hopefully the two that you had added to your group's list earlier. Use the websites provided below to help you. For each of your two locations you must present the following:
- at least one picture of the location/attraction (Remember to save the picture you wish to use to your own file so you can find it easily when you need it!)
- accurate information about the location
- what you and your friends did while there, and for how long
- where you stayed
- how much you spent on everything
- a detailed description of your experience- (weather, people, etc.)
- what you learned

Tercer Paso: La Presentación
Now, you can finally put all of your information together for your final presentation to the teachers and other students. Remember to keep your presentation attractive, interesting, and appropriate for your audience. You want to sell your idea!
If you choose to create a book (or binder):
- Each page must be colorfully illustrated.
- All narrations must be typed in Spanish.
- All pages must be neatly bound together.
If you have chosen to create a powerpoint:
- You must include colorful pictures of each location.
- You must type your narration into the slides in Spanish. (You may decide to split them up between 2 or 3 slides)
- Presentation should be organized and have a consistent design.
In this step, work with your group members to create the final product. If you have never used powerpoint before, please see me. To save time, you may wish to type your narration and save it on your own disk or file, and paste it into your group's presentation. Always remember to save your group's work somewhere.
Finally, at the end of your presentation, please site all of the websites your group used during this project.
When you finish, be sure to practice and prepare for your in-class oral presentation.
