An exploration into the groundbreaking science and the ethical dilemmas of genetic testing of embryos.

Introduction

Should parents be able to choose the sex of their children?

What about their sexuality?

Or their eye color?

If a mother knows her child will have a crippling illness before it is even in her womb, should she be allowed to go through with the pregnancy?

Would it be right to creat a child specifically as a stem cell or bone marrow donor for a sibling?

These aren't just theoretical questions; the technology exists today, and with it comes a myriad of ethical questions.

In this webquest, you will take the role of congressmen and women. You will collaborate to draft a bill that will govern the use of genetic testing of embryos.
