This webquest will help students delve into the realm of philosophy, specifically concerning the philosophical thinkings of Karl Marx and Fredrick Nietzsche.

Teacher Introduction

This lesson is meant to teach students about some of the core philosophical thinkers without resorting to bland note taking or rote memorization.  The use of Marx and Nietzsche is merely a suggestion; any philosopher can be substituted for this quest, and the effect will remain the same.  By having the kids invest their time and effort into a "competition" of sorts, we hope to keep the kids interested and, by extension, learning more.
