Process


  • Diplomats will complete a questionnaire before they participate in the class. The purpose of this tool is to help identify perceptions and judgments about other characters’ priorities and values.
  • Diplomats will be covering four chapters a week. The unit will last 12 weeks. We will be discussing four questions per week. A fifth question will center on the planning of the public relations summit. The book study will end with a post -questionnaire and discussion about any changed perceptions.
  • This discussion will proceed from a BLOG to a Skype class which will meet at Wednesday at 2:30 PM Eastern time and 10:30 PM Turkish time. 
  • The questions that you will be answering deal with examples of conflicts found in the book or from observations in your country. Click here to see two examples of the roots of the cultural conflicts we are studying while reading "Snow" :

 

 


In the second phase of this class, you will attend a peace conference on a peace boat in the Mediterranean . At this conference, you will take your class findings and use them to promote tourism by establishing policies and procedures which will diminish the impact of domestic unrest.


In the third phase, we hope to produce and then air the embedded videos on local public access channels in your community. It will be your responsibility to contact your local cable company or government to air this media.
