Teacher Introduction

Tobacco use causes tremendous pain to many lives. Many highschool students are experimenting or already hooked on tobacco products. Highschool years are a very pivitol point, which is why it is the perfect time to use this lesson. By the time they reach highschool many students, hopefully, have taken courses to teach them about the effects of tobacco. They would be bored or resist another of the same type of lesson! This lesson will teach student the causes and costs of tobacco while camoflauging it as a lesson solely about the graphic warning labels. Using a current topic, graphic warning labels, gives students the chance to get involved in something outside the classroom. This lesson also introduces public policies and gives the students the chance to think about what public policies they do and don't want implimented in the world they live in.
