Process
Together, as a class, we will learn about our computers with a PowerPoint presentation.
In the first step, you will work with a partner to complete the worksheet, "What happens when?" This is a worksheet that will help you get to know the keyboard better.
Then, working alone, you will learn typing on the website Type Dancing.
The third step, you will work again with your partner to learn about Internet safety on the NetSmartz kids website.
After you have learned about Internet safety, you and your partner will use different search engines to find information on the Internet. On a worksheet, you and your partner will write a very brief description about the different sites you find, including what you like and don't like about the websites.

The last step is for you and your partner to work together. You will show the class your favorite website that you found and wrote about on the worksheet, be prepared to answer why it is your favorite. You will also tell the class one thing that you learned about Internet safety.
