This Web Quest is meant for students who are in the 5th grade. It was designed as a culminating project for a social studies unit on the Maya civilization. One of the essential questions for this unit deals with determining how civilizations sustain themselves and this project will help students answer this question. Students will be introduced to this project early on in the unit to allow them to work on the project gradually as they learn more and more. The unit activities as well as the websites on this Web Quest will help students complete the task.
