Task
In the odyssey to Ithica Odysseus encountered many strange places and even more interesting inhabitants of that region. The school has just chosen our class to take an educational journey and will fund the entire expense if and only if we all agree on the place. The place has to be one of the uncharted lands that Odysseus came across in his journey. Your task is to research via the book, internet and the creative minds of your group a place that Odysseus came across in his journey to Ithica. In your groups you will create a brochure as if your were travel agents soliciting the destination our class future travelers. You will need to include the food that a traveler might find in that region as well as the information on the locals and a description of that area (ie. is it a beach destination with warm water or more of a winter location). Once you have completed your brochures each group will present them to the class in efforts to persuade our vote. Each student will have the opportunity to vote on our class trip based on the information presented by each group.
