Teacher Process
This WebQuest should take about 3 one-hour periods to complete, but the time could easily be modified depending on how in-depth you would like to go.
Each step should take about at day. So on the first day there won't be any groups, rather the students will be working independently learning about these two genres.
The next day and/or hour I would advise to separate into groups (or do this the day before). Decide the groups however you want, you know your students better than I. They will be reading their examples and brainstorming ideas depending on the time constraint.
The third day could be done in class with the students combining their ideas and collaborating. They may even take the rough drafts home and finish their particular parts.
Eventually the final drafts or the rough drafts will be turned into you.
