This WebQuest is designed for students in both ninth and tenth grade. I have experienced that many high school students enjoy learning about Edgar Allan Poe. Many young people relate well to his mysterious and intense imagery. I have chosen this particular topic because of the recent interest in the television show Cold Case Files. The assignment is intended for an English/Language Arts class focusing on different works of Poe. The class will be aware of his short story works as well as his famous poetry to complete an oral presentation mirroring the form of the Cold Case Files episodes.
