Learners

This Webquest is developed for an eighth grade class with a culturally diverse student population all of which come from an economically diverse background. The students are aware of the standard-based curriculum and are working with the district-mandated Holt Language Arts Textbooks. Prior to this lesson, students participated in daily writing activities and were introduced to the literary term characterization. During the reading, the students focused upon other literary terms such as: plot (i.e. exposition, rising action climax, denouement), subplot, parallel episodes, and irony.
