NCTM Standards:

Use ratios and proportions to represent quantitative relationships. Develop, analyze, and explain methods for solving problems involving proportions.

Communication: Understand vocabulary, organization of processes, and how to communicate and comprehend mathematical concepts and justificaions with accuracy.

Connections: Relate mathematics to real life and other subject areas and make connections from one mathematical idea to another.

Representation: Represent mathematical ideas using concrete objects, pictures, and symbols.
