Teacher Process

This WebQuest project is expected to take students about ten, forty-minute class periods. It may be also be expanded to be an entire, cross-curriculum unit, where students may proceed to actually construct a model of their designs, and conduct deeper research about the topics included and touched on by the WebQuest.

The activity itself could be done by printing out much of the information that is linked to the WebQuest, and by showing the attached videos on an overhead, or substituting other visual aides. These measures may be appropriate for classrooms with limited computer availability.

Books about Zen gardening and culture, in combination with instruction about area and perimeter, may be able to produce the same final product from the students, but with more difficulty.
