Task
Your task, as young, ambitious entreprenuers, is to lay out a design for a Zen garden that reflects your budding new landscape and design business' full potential. As a group you will need to come up with a name for your business, which is to be included as a heading, with all of your names and job titles beneath it, on every item you submit for this project. Then, according to your designated roles in the group, you will need to: evaluate the design criteria, decide upon materials to be used in your Zen garden, plan the layout, make calculations to verify that your design fits the specified criteria, and then draw out your design.
Finally, you will sumbit for a grade:
- A journal log for your group that tracks your research, your decisions, and shows all your calculations and conclusions.
- A design drawing (one for the group) of your final design with all items and dimensions clealrly labeled, and a complete list of materials attached.
- A project write-up for each role that describes all materials used, a discussion of why you designed your Zen garden as you did, and an overview of the design process. This write-up will require group collaboration for some elements (i.e., putting together the reasons for decisions that involved other members), but you each are to write your own, original paper, from the perspective of your project role.
