Task
The ultimate goal of this webquest is to get your creative
juices flowing and actually compose your own original poem. Don’t worry though,
the poem comes at the very end of this assignment. In order to prepare you for
such a task, first you will research and become an expert on 1 literary device.
Literary devices are things such as metaphors, similes, etc. that poets use to
make their work more interesting.
After researching your device on the web, back in class you
will find the other students who were assigned the same device as you and
create poster so that you can effectively teach it to the rest of the class. Additionally,
you will find examples of your device in works of poetry to better understand
how it is used and how you can in turn use it yourself when writing your own
poem!
