Students will research potential Presidential candidates and examine key issues of each candidate.

Introduction

Every four years, the United States of America elects a new President. Some people vote for a particular candidate or party because they like what they stand for. Others simply vote, but do not know what important issues the candidates stand for. Even others, simply do not vote at all.

As American citizens, it is our right and duty to vote for our government leaders. People need to become more aware of the campaign issues and candidates. This lesson is designed to initiate an interest of voting among the younger generations. Your voice should be heard, and you need to be aware of the candidates and their issues.
