This is a Webquest designed to help students who have mastered the basic consonant sounds begin to blend sounds into words. The webquest starts with words containing short a, then short e, and last short u. All words follow the CVC pattern.

Introduction

Since you know all of your letter names and the consonant sounds, you are ready for the next step. 

IT IS A BIG ONE

You are going to use the sounds that you have learned along with two new sounds - called short vowel sounds - to read and spell real words.
