Geometry Can be Art Too
Not sure how art and geometry go together? Can geometry, which involves shapes, symmetry, and patterns, be art too? Look at the world around you, everywhere you look, in nature, in buildings, in art, geometry is shaping the world around us.
This is a two week Webquest in which you are going to think like an art critic and critique (look at or tell what you think about) art designs and then apply this knowledge and create your own geometric art creations!
You will be taking a virtual (imaginary) trip to an art gallery to see geometry as it relates to art and in life. Your mission is to critique one design after you have gone through the art gallery. Then, with your partner, you are to apply your critique and the knowledge you have obtained about geometry, during the tour through the art gallery, to create your own geometric art creation.
