Moving In
Before you move your modern-day Hero, Monster, God or Goddess to Mount Olympus you should get to know the neighborhood. Use the following websites to guide you through some of the traditional Greek characters. The Guiding Questions will help to focus your reading.

Pack Your Bags
So now you have a sense of what kinds of folks lived on Mount Olympus, but that was a REALLY long time ago and things are different in 2008. Use this Graphic Organizer to help brainstorm ideas about what kind of person you might create and move in to Mount Olympus.
Keep these ideas in mind...
What kind of personality does your creation have?
How would they fit in with the Gods and Goddesses who already live there?
What are their strengths and weaknesses?
What kind of job would they have in today's society?
Would they make a good or bad neighbor?
Open House Party
Once you've settled on who your creation is going to be, think about what they'll look like. What kinds of tools would they need to get their job done? Would they live in a spooky house or one with lots of windows? You can draw, paint, collage (anything you can think of) an image of your character.
You should include a caption that briefly describes the new neighbor and the image you have created.
Introductions!
The best way to make new friends is by introducing yourself. Your Hero, Monster, God or Goddess needs your help with that. Write a 2-3 paragraph biography for them that tells about who they are and what's important to them. Use the notes you took while brainstorming to draft the biography.
