Who are the scientists behind the discovery? You will work independently and then cooperatively to research and build a website (wiki) of important people of science. More than knowing their names, you will discover more about the people themselves and share that with your classmates.
Teacher Introduction
As a 7th year teacher I am trying a variety of strategies and using several tools to hook my students into learning. This is my first attempt at a WebQuest. I wanted my students to learn more about the many individuals, both past and present, that have taught us so much about our world. It is difficult to find time and resources to cover this much material in the classroom. After attending a short introductory workshop on WebQuest (basically showed me what it was), I decided to take a try and have my students research and teach each other. This WebQuest is combined with my first attempt at creating a class wiki. This is an adventure! All feedback and comments are welcome (anything that will help me to improve this and other projects).
