This WebQuest is designed to have students work in groups to explore several aspects of a catastrophic event to evaluate the risks associated with the event. Students will create a Wiki page to present their work.

Introduction

How would you like to be a reporter, scientist, business owner, environmental scientist, or simply a citizen involved with a catastrophic event.  With this activity you will have the opportunity to assume one of these roles as you and the members of your group research a catastrophic event.  Each of your will take on one of these roles and present information about your selected catastrophic event from that perspective.  At the completion of this project you and your group should have a better understanding of risks involved with certain catastrophic events.
