All aboard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get ready to board the Excel Express!! We are going to look at the importance of Microsoft Excel and it's functions.
First off, you will be put into groups of four. From there, the four members of your group will begin the research that this WebQuest requires.
You are going to answer four main questions for this research.
1. What in the world is a spreadsheet? Is it a sheet that spreads? What does it spread? I think you know what I mean. Find out as much information as possible about spreadsheets.
2. When and how did Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets) start? 1857? 1979 (the year Mr. Roll was born!) 2008? Who invented it? Was it one person? Two? You tell me everything you can about this.
3. Spreadhsheets and Databases are alike in some ways. Question is, what's the difference between a spreadsheet and database? It's not a one word answer either. It involves many words and phrases. Take a deep look at both of them.
4. What could I use Microsoft Excel for in mine or any other educators classroom? What are some really cool things that can be done with it?
Once you and your team members have researched the answers to the above stated questions, get down to work on your MINIMUM 12-slide PowerPoint presentation. Make the presentation interesting. How? It doesn't hurt to make it easy on the eyes, pleasant sounds for the ears, and laughter for the heart. In other words, make sure people can read it, hear it, and make them laugh!
OK, go get 'em! Have fun and if you have any questions, make sure you ask your conductor, er, teacher, Mr. Roll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
