You will form a team of six.
Two students will be assigned the role of Statistician.
Two will be assigned the role of Doctor.
Two will be assigned the role of Counselor.
Statistician 
Your task is to gather information about a topic and record the information in numbers and percentages. This information is called statistics or stats.
Your job is to research the stats on smoking. You will preplan with the Getting Started Worksheet and use the Issues Report Outline to assist you in gathering your stats. When you have completed these tasks you will meet and work together with the doctors and counselors to plan and design a Display Board. This board will represent the entire team's work.
Doctor 
Your task is to research diseases and health problems that are caused by smoking.
You will preplan with the Getting Started Worksheet and use the Issues Report Outline to assist you in gathering your facts.
When you have completed these tasks, you will meet and work together with the statisticians and counselors to plan and design a Display Board. This board will represent the entire team's work.
Counselor Your task is to find out why kids your age smoke. It is also your responsibility to know how to help someone quit smoking or encourage him/her not to start. Your will preplan with the Getting Started Worksheet and use the Issues Report Outline to assist you in gathering your facts. When you have completed these tasks, you will meet and work together with the statisticians and counselors to plan and design a Display Board. This board will represent the entire team's work.
