Teacher Introduction

This WebQuest is the result of trying to figure out how to engage my students after the TAKS test.  As the last six weeks of school was approaching, I wanted to find something fun, exciting, and challenging to get my kids engaged and involved in the learning process.  The "big push" for the writing TAKS had passed, and the kids were exhausted.  I chose this because it looked like a lot of fun.  Plus, the kids always like to work in collaborative groups. 

I began googling several webquests along with many other websites to find something that would work for my kids.  I found this WebQuest at:   Escape From Grammar Island

The original author is John Vollrath.  I adapted it for my students by reducing some of the writing for my regular classes.  I left it the same for my accelerated classes.
