I designed this webquest with Indiana fifth grade students in mind. Specifically, I was thinking about my own class of students and the experiences they may or may not have had with MLK, inquiry skills, and technology skills at this point.
Our school is in session on Martin Luther King, Jr. day. As a captive audience on this very important day, my hope is that this webquest will help them grasp the big picture of MLK's dedication and hard work in helping others.
I do plan on sharing this webquest with all the teachers in my school in hopes that they might either use this webquest with their class or, in the very least, be able to use some of the resources, ideas, or activities with their own students. Younger students would require additional assistance while older students might need additional activities or challenges to keep the webquest interesting.
