Task
OK! Let's take a sneak peak at what you will be doing in this webquest. In order to discover the dream, you will need to complete the following activities:
- Exploring the Dream: First you will learn a little more about Martin Luther King, Jr. What did he do that made him such an important man in the history of the United States? What was his dream? Check out the many resources and complete at least one activity sheet and quiz.
- Building the Dream: Next you will learn exactly what does "service" mean. Brainstorm some ideas for Acts of Kindness or Service Projects. Are you stuck? Then search through the various pages of suggestions and formulate a plan. You will complete a plan sheet and organize yourself to present your idea to the class.
- Sharing the Dream: Last but not least, you will write a letter in order to persuade others to join your cause. Then you will have the opportunity to share your dream with the class. The class will decide what projects to fully develop for our Day of Service on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day!
Now let's go out and make Martin Luther King, Jr. proud!
