This webQuest was designed to help elementary students explore the concept of fossils. It guides students into understanding that fossils are left-over remains of once living animals. It also suggets that paleontologist have a difficult, but interesting job.

Teacher Introduction

 This web page was designed to introduce students to fossils.  It is an interactive tool to allow students to explore this theme.  It was originally designed for second grade students in order to supplement a reading unit on fossils.  In particular, it will assist in building background knowledge and develop the vocabulary of your students.
