Conclusion
I really wanted to show the students that understanding the background of a piece of literature is really helpful in understanding the piece as a whole. By using a webquest where adequate internet sites are already there and ready for the students to look it, it helps them recognize which sites are appropriate and why. Some teachers would choose to lecture about the background, but I think this webquest is a great way to break down that lecture and have the students take an active role in learning and teaching the important information that will help in understanding the story.
