This webquest is designed to help students understand the Islamic Revolution and the Iran/Iraq war as a whole before/during/after reading Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi.

Introduction

 Hello Investigators,

As a class, we are about to begin our unit on Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood.   This memoir tells the story of Marji during the Islamic Revolution.  Your job is to research the cultural aspects before and after the revolution to note the similarities and differences that Marji and adolescents your age went through during that time.  After researching, your team will put together and present a PowerPoint over the aspect of culture you researched.  Together we will learn about the culture in order to help us better understand the book.

Have fun!
