Using primary sources and biographical accounts, students will develop and write a fictional diary relating to the life and times of African American Abolitionist leader, Sojourner Truth.
Introduction
To be a leader as we have seen this year, often means to face dilemmas head on and seize opportunities when they appear. As a young child, you may have acted out the antics of your favorite superhero. By how do "real" leaders achieve their goals?
An interesting way to learn about leaders and their dilemmas and opportunities is to recreate the world of these superheros by researching information about them and reading their their own words.
