Task

Your group's task has three parts: 

  1. Investigate the question "How do women fit into the international 21st century economy/workforce?"
  2. Consider the question "How can the challenge of gender equity be addressed while working toward long term economic growth?"
  3. Create a ranked list of the three most important three steps to take in order to work toward gender equity and long term economic growth.

Note that you do not need to worry about how you will enact those steps, only identify the steps and be able to explain why those steps are most important in class discussion at the conclusion of the project.

You should spend Days 1 and 2 working on the first two questions.  On Day 3, you and your group should discuss your findings and create your list; by the end of the day, you will turn in your list, along with a brief explanation of each choice, to Ms. Everett.  Day 4 will be an in-class discussion of your findings; come prepared to explain and defend your choices as well as to discuss other groups' conclusions.
