ISTE Standards for Students
Standard 2. Communication and Collaboration, section B, Students will communicate information and ideas learned about the Gatsby Era. They will communicate this to a variety of audiences, their classmates, other students who are part of The Big Read in our area, and to me, of course. They will use a variety of media and formats such as Power Point presentations, oral reports, and written papers.
Standard 3. Research and Information fluency, section B, students will locate, organize, analyze, evaluate, synthesize, and ethically use information from a variety of source. As I find appropriate links for the students, I will make sure that there is a variety. Through the WebQuest, students will have to locate the information and then work with it in the above ways.
Standard 5 Digital Citizenship, section B, students will exhibit a positive attitude toward using technology that supports collaboration, learning, and productivity. I will be sure that the WebQuest is designed so that students do not feel frustration when working on their project, thus exhibiting a positive attitude.
Standard 6, section A, students will understand and use technology in order to complete the WebQuest and the final project.
