Students will come to understand some of the ways the United States has been influenced by the many immigrant groups that form this country. Students will use this information to design a museum exhibit.

Introduction

The United States is a country of immigrants. Over the course of our nation's history, people have immigrated here from all over the world. Because the United States is made up of people from around the globe, we have benefited from the contributions of many different groups. When they traveled to the United States, they brought their skills, knowledge, and beliefs with them. What better way to celebrate these contributions than through an exhibit at the Field Museum in Chicago! This exhibit will go on display next summer, and your group has been hired to create it!
