This webquest is designed to get students thinking about the complexity of Shakespeare's characters and the ways in which he creates interesting and often challenging relationships among the primary characters of his plays.

Teacher Introduction

Though I've always found Shakespeare interesting, there is no doubt about it that his language and structure are difficult to follow and understand! That's why I created "A Midsummer's Dream Date": to get students interested in Shakespeare and see how his plays and characters often grapple with the same challenges and problems that are still present in today's society!

As a teacher of English, it is my hope that by participating in an activity such as this one, students will be more engaged in Shakespeare and see his plays and poetry as something to look forward to learning about rather than dread it!
