This webquest was developed for students to learn about The Great Depression, World War II, and the Holocaust in an interesting manner and for them to take pride in their learning and ability to teach others. Each group will be assigned one of the three historical events and within their event, each student will be assigned a task. Using the teaching strategy reciprocal teaching the students will explore the links provided, gather information, teach the other members of their group about their topic. Finally, they will come together to create a lesson/ presentation to teach their peers about their historical event.

You have entered a webquest where you are the most important piece, it is up to you and your group to explore either: The Great Depression, World War Two or The Holocaust and teach your classmates the 5 W's of these topics. These topics are extremely important in Canadian an d World History because many of the themes that exist within them, still exist today at a different level. Each group will either learn about the fact that people became poor over night making changes to peoples roles and lives in society and the struggles people faced. Or, the killing over territory and power, even worse the brutal executions of people based on discrimination. There are many pictures, you tube and other videos to watch and information to explore.
