What this lesson will entail is that the students look deeper into the story of Christopher Columbus and do research on the other places that he discovered other then America. It will be their job to create a journal using the their own perspective as Christopher's crew men and women. They are to describe these new places as if they were on the Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria!

Introduction

Christopher Columbus in 1492 sailed the ocean blue!  He discovered this wonderful place that we call America!  But what other places did he discover?  Boys and Girl, it is time to be the crew men and women of Christopher Columbus's fleet and find out the other amazing places he discovered on his journey!  It is your job to document in a journal of the other places that you discovered on your journey with Columbus!
