Process

Part 1: Research   Time frame 2 class periods

       Research

      Captain

      Gather information on the selected Captain/Pirate who will run your ship.

      Find their name, nicknames, two interesting facts about him or her. The       name of his or her ship, how long he or she lived, and what he or she was famous for.

Here is the list of pirates you can choose from to run your ship. Pick one of them together as a group before you move onto the next step:

     1st Mate

     Research ,design and draw or make a pirate ship

       2nd Mate

     Research, design and draw or make a pirate flag

     3rd Mate

     Decide your crew's name and establish the code of conduct for the crew

    Once you have selected your tasks and chosen your captain, you will need to navigate these sites to familiarize yourself with Pirates and their history:

Once your research is complete, your crew will need to focus on Part # 2

Part 2: Time frame 2 class periods

You need to include the following in your presentation:

• The research on your pirate captain (Captain) Red
• Your new pirate ship and a short paragraph on the importance of a pirate ship (1st Mate) Blue
• Your new pirate ship flag and a short paragraph on the importance of the pirate flag   (2nd Mate) Green
• The code of conduct (3rd Mate) Purple
• The definition of your crew's name (Total Crew)

 Make sure you are creative, and that you don't leave anything out. Remember to add titles to your pages and to proof read your work.

Here is an example of information to include on your Captain biography. Each person must make some type of chart like the example below.
