The webquest is designed to handle issues of global warming. The idea is to create awareness of a key environmental issue. Students will not only learn about the issue, they will practice evaluative techniques when dealing with loads of information that the internet can provide. Hopefully, in doing this assignment, the information provided will inspire the students to do what they can to work towards sustainable living in their own lives.

Introduction

Global warming is a significant issue in the world today. Researchers are predicting some very negative consequences if humans continue the trend of pollution and environmental destruction. What can we do to stop or weaken the consequences that are coming? The goal of this WebQuest is to increase awareness with regards to what global warming is, what it can do, and what we can do to help. The questions that will follow are designed to have students think about global warming and to have them realize some things that we are doing to hurt our planet. At the end of this assignment, students will know what they can do to help reverse the current trend of climate change, and instead redirect our path towards sustainable living. Also, they will have trained their researching abilities, including their analytical tools like evaluating and synthesizing information.
