Teacher Process
This webquest is intended to take approximately 14 days. To accomodate and differentiate instruction, various reading levels are included in the website resources. Some students may require teacher or teacher aide support during the process of researching the battle.
It is important to group students carefully as all tasks involve much cooperation among team members. Again, teacher aides during all processes will be helpful to guide and support the groups.
Research of the battles may be supplemented with books and other library resources.
Script writing and rehearsal time for production is estimated at 3 days each. A Smartboard is suggested for use during the television production to display large background scenes and maps of the battles which are available on the linked websites. Simple props can be made with readily available classroom materials. The creation of the mural will require large mural paper and plenty of bright markers.
