The students will get into groups and research different types of birds. Once the students research their bird, they will write a journal entry as if they were the bird. In their journal entry, the students will explain the different aspects of their bird's life.

Introduction

Birds can be seen everyday when we step outside.  The birds are either flying in the air, digging worms out of the ground, or  building their nests.  There are about 10,000 species of birds in the world. That's a lot of birds!

Do you wish that you could fly?

Do you like to watch birds?

Have you ever seen a bird's nest with eggs in it?
