This webquest is designed for a summer reading program. The target students are rising 4th and 5th graders. These students will be studying the works and styles of five artists: Claude Monet, Leonardo da Vinci, Homer Winslow, Vincent Van Gogh, and M. C. Escher.

Introduction

                  

Close your eyes and listen to the breeze.  Keep them closed and smell the grass your neighbor just cut.  Listen to the bird sounds outside your window.  Now, open your eyes and look all around you.  Find the bird.  See the grass.  Watch the breeze move the trees. 

 

 

How can you translate all of this sensation into something that will communicate to others what you have experienced?
