In this WebQuest student will have the opportunity to find out what thinkers influenced our country's government. Their analysis of the philosophers will provide them with a deeper understanding of why our constitution protects certain rights we find invaluable.
Introduction
How well do you understand your country? What led to our country becoming the great democracy it has become? Who came up with the ideas for our government?
These questions are important for every citizen in the United States. The Declaration of Independence and our Constitution are documents that many other countries have emulated in search of the personal freedoms our laws guarantee its citizens. In this activity you will embark on a quest to find out where these ideas came from and determine if our country has done right by them.
