Students will explore MyPyramid.gov. Then based on their discoveries plan a week of healthy eating based upon serving guidelines in the food guide pyramid.

Introduction

Did you know that less than 25% of adolescents eat the daily recommended servings of fruits and vegetables, and few adolescents get regular physical activity. In this WebQuest we will be exploring MyPyramid.gov. We will become familiar with the latest dietary guidelines from the United States Departments of Agriculture (USDA). Also we will be gaining an activate knowledge of the food pyramid and the basic food groups in order to plan nutritious meals.
